 Washington Collects Howe Cup Hardware, 2003 (January 2003)

Boston won the Howe Cup A draw, with a 3-2 win over Southeast A. Washington's Connie Barnes, playing for Southeast, beat Boston's Orla Doherty, 3-0.

Washington's B team opened with a big 4-1 win over Portland, then took command of their pool with 4-1 wins over Seattle B1 and California B1. They played for the B draw championship on Sunday, losing 1-4 to Seattle B2 and finishing 2nd.

 The C team ran into a buzz-saw against the top team from Seattle, losing 1-4 to Seattle C1. They came back with a 4-1 win over Philadelphia and a 2-3 loss to Seattle C3, and finished with a 3-2 win over Seattle C4 that gave them 3rd place.
