USA JUNIOR GIRLS TEAM SQUASH TRYOUTS

Washington D.C. is hosting the prestigious U.S. Junior Girls Squash Trials on March 25-27.  To capitalize on this great event, Natalie Grainger, World No. 6 and Coach of the Junior Girls’ Team, is spearheading an entire weekend of world-class squash geared towards players of all levels. 

 

Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger, Chris Walker (World No. 3), Patrick Chifunda, and Brian O’Hora are all donating their time and incredible skills to make this weekend a success.  The proceeds raised from the weekend will go towards the $50,000 needed to send the U.S. Team to Belgium this summer to compete in the World Championships and are tax deductible.

 

Here is a roundup of the weekend’s activities:

 

1.)     CLINICS WITH MARK ALLEN, NATALIE GRAINGER AND CHRIS WALKER

*  Friday5:30pm – Results (Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger)

*  Saturday9am – Episcopal High School (Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger)

*  Saturday11am – Episcopal High School (Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger)

*  Saturday1pm – Episcopal High School (Chris Walker w/either Mark or Natalie)

*  Sunday12 noon – Results (Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger)

Tickets are $60/person.  Limited space available per clinic.  All clinics are one hour.

 

2.)     TRIAL MATCHES

Watch the girls compete for a spot on the U.S. Team

*  Friday -- 6:30pm – Results

*  Saturday10am – Episcopal High School

*  Saturday2pm – Episcopal High School

*  Sunday1pm – Results

Suggested tax deductible donation of $30/person. 

 

 

 

 

3.)     SATURDAY NIGHT EXHIBITION MATCHES AT THE UNIVERSITY CLUB STARTING AT 5PM

Watch Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger, Patrick Chifunda, and Brian O’Hora face off against each other.  See brave amateurs take on the Pros in the Pro-Am Tournament, as well as compete against members of the U.S. Girls team in singles.  Mingle with other squash enthusiasts.  Enjoy complimentary drinks.

Tickets are tax deductible and are $100.  Seats are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Standing room is $50/ticket.

 

4.)     SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER AT THE UNIVERSITY CLUB

We invite you to join us for an elegant dinner at the University Club, where you’ll get to meet the pros and the girls on the U.S. team, as well as senior USSRA officials.  You’ll also receive a beautifully framed poster signed by some of the world’s top squash players.

Tickets are $250/person.

 

5.)     PRO-AMATEUR TOURNAMENT ON THE UNIVERSITY CLUB’S SOFTBALL DOUBLES COURT

Dreamed of beating Mark Allen, Natalie Grainger, Chris Walker, Patrick Chifunda, and Brian O’Hora?  Now is your chance to turn your dreams into reality!  Sign up for the eight-team Pro-Amateur doubles tournament where the highest bidder gets to pick his or her favorite Pro!  Bidding starts at $500 and includes a ticket to the Saturday Night Dinner.  Premium picks are based on the strength of the donations.  Be a part of eight great people who can make a difference for our USA team!
