Juniors visit to Belfast
Results Head Coach and NCSRA junior

a group of very fortunate local juniors to Europe
and the British Isles
recently, where they played several tournaments and
an invitational challenge against the Belfast Boat
Club. Our local women's champ Natalie Grainger also
accompanied the group. A flavor of the trip is
provided by this reproduction of a South Belfast News

invitational match.
DC Youth Programs
Two urban youth programs - SquashEmpower
(SE) and The DC Juniors Squash Academy - are
being developed for the DC region. The programs are
based on Boston's SquashBusters and seek to
provide enrichment, increased athletic performance and
improved opportunities for disadvantaged DC youth
through squash, academic tutoring and mentoring. The
programs rely on volunteers and financial donations.
Wendy Lawrence has provided details on the DC
Juniors Squash Academy

using these lessons to strengthen my backhand and work
on my rails. I would also like to work on playing
more shots to the back of the court. My goal is to

I can be'. Congratulations to Bryan, watch out for this
young man with loads of potential. Meanwhile, Jake Gross
