Old NCSRA By-Laws
Article III Membership
Section 1. The membership shall consist
of individual and club members (hereinafter referred to
as "Member" and "Member Club"
respectively). A "Club" is defined as a
physical facility wherein squash racquets may be played,
containing court(s) of regulation size or adjustable for
play upon waiver granted by the Board.
a. Individuals residing within the
geographical limits of Article III, section 1, b., but
not belonging to a Member Club, are eligible to apply for
membership if they are Annual or Life Members of USSRA.
Such individuals must apply to the Admissions Committee,
the same as a club. Upon proof of USSRA membership,
approval by the Admissions Committee and payment of dues,
the applicant shall immediately become a Member. A Member
is entitled to:
- Participate in NCSRA activities to
the extent prescribed by the Board, and
- Become an Annual Member, a Life
Member, or a Member of such other classes as may
be established by the Board.
b. The voting Member Clubs of the
Association shall be the clubs where squash racquets is
played in the District of Columbia; the Maryland and
Virginia counties contiguous to the District of Columbia;
Prince William and Loudon counties, Virginia, and Howard
county, Maryland, upon admission of such clubs to the
NCSRA. A Member Club is entitled to:
- One voting Representative on the
Board, as prescribed in Article IV, and
- Sponsor team in the NCSRA League.
Section 2. A Member Club may be
suspended or expelled upon at least a two-thirds majority
vote of the entire Board, excluding the Representative of
the subject Member Club, for refusal to comply with these
By-laws or for other good and sufficient cause.
Section 3. A Member or Member Club may
resign from the NCSRA at any time. Resignation shall not
become effective while such Member or Member Club is
financially indebted to the NCSRA.
These By-laws were adopted at Washington, D.C., on
April 11, 1994.
